What is a Whistleblower Channel?

This is the means by which any person in a work and/or professional context can confidentially denounce or report irregular facts or conduct in which any employee has been directly or indirectly involved and which may constitute a crime and/or a serious or very serious administrative offence.

Please note that other types of requests (e.g. customer complaints, job portal, removal of personal data, ...) cannot be made through this channel.

Finally, please use this Whistleblower Channel in a conscientious and responsible manner and avoid abusive and bad faith use. It is therefore important that you only transmit information that is reasonably truthful.

It warns of the criminal and financial consequences that can result from making a false report.

How does it work?

• There are several ways to proceed with a complaint.
• If you wish, the report can be made anonymously. It is done through a system that allows for absolute confidentiality.
• Any evidence, images, videos or documents that support or prove the alleged facts may be attached.
• Admitted complaints shall be studied and investigated within a period of three months, extendable for a further three months if necessary, in accordance with internal procedure, and the corresponding investigation shall be carried out with the aim of clarifying the veracity or falsity of the complaint.
• The Internal Reporting Officer shall ensure that the rights of the whistleblower (protection against retaliation, confidentiality and/or anonymity), of the reported person (right to defence, presumption of innocence and honour) and of personal data are protected.

Whistleblower safeguards

• Complaints submitted may be anonymous (at the choice of the complainant), therefore it is not necessary to include the identity of the complainant, nor the department from which the complaint originates, nor any information that would allow the complainant to be identified.
• Confidentiality of both the information reported and the identity of the whistleblower is guaranteed. Only the persons managing the channel will have access to the report and only they will communicate with the reporter.
• No retaliation for good faith whistleblowers.
• The complainant may exercise his/her rights of access, rectification, opposition, erasure, restriction of processing and portability.
• There are also external information channels to which the whistleblower can turn if he/she considers it appropriate. Among others, they can turn to the complaints channel of the National Securities Market and Competition Commission (CNMC), SEPBLAC, the Independent Authority for the Protection of the Informant, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) and the agencies of the different Autonomous Communities authorised for this purpose.
